CREATE statement on outsourcing
As Aerospace Professionals at The Boeing Company in southern California, our role is critical to the success of our company, suppliers, and airline customers. To ensure this success, we are committed to the highest standards of engineering excellence while providing Boeing customers and the flying public the finest aerospace products and support services.
While we recognize Boeing is a global company, we cannot support company decisions that result in laying off specialized and committed aerospace professionals and outsourcing or offshoring critical aerospace work to suppliers and/or contract workers overseas.
WE formed CREATE, a union of professional aerospace employees, to bring the voice of our experienced workforce into decision-making processes that effect our lives, families, and careers.
With a united professional aerospace workforce, we have the ability to negotiate legally binding contracts that govern wages, benefits, working conditions and set clear standards for performance management and administering layoffs. Additionally, we have the ability to seek contractual language that addresses the issues and problems created by outsourcing, offshoring and the use of contract labor.
